Latin GRAMMY award-winning Carla Morrison creates music with pedals, clips and loops, along with her keyboard and electro-acoustic guitar effects, building layers of live music. In her sound you can feel the melancholy and a feeling of a very innovative and avant-garde sound.
Carla will release her new album, titled "Amor Supremo" on November 6. Her first single off the album, "Un Beso" has already gained momentum, recently premiering globally on Beats1, Apple Music's radio station. The single also secured a spot on the movie theater program, "CinemaSounds," which will feature her song before movie previews in over 19,000 screens in the U.S.
Her music continues to be in top 50 on iTunes US Latino Album Chart. She was also awarded the "Discovery Award" Winner at the Latin Alternative Music Conference in NYC 2012. November 2012 brought two Latin GRAMMY awards (Best Alternative Album & Best Alternative Song).
Her first two singles, "Dejenme Llorar" and "Hasta La Piel", still tally YouTube viewings in the millions ("Dejenme Llorar" has over 46 million views and "Hasta La Piel" has passed 18 million views).
Most recently, Carla performed at Hispanic Heritage Awards, which was broadcast on PBS. She also showcased a sold-out show at the prestigious Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City, performing in front of 60,000 fans.
