About Maria Matias Music

Maria Matias comes with quite a few years of experience - 20-plus years. For several years she helped produce Luciano Pavarotti in concert worldwide as a Senior Events Coordinator and financial officer. Soon after, she began working with Monterey Peninsula Artists in Monterey, CA, where she was an administrator for several years before moving into an agent position. Maria was with Monterey Peninsula Artists/Monterey International for over 14 years, booking bands including Bonnie Raitt, Lyle Lovett, KD Lang, Los Lobos, Taj Mahal and many others.

In early September, 2006, Maria opened the doors to Maria Matias Music, Inc., bringing a few clients with her, notably Lila Downs, Ledisi and Robben Ford. Since then she has signed several other acts including Emilie Simon and Susana Baca. Maria has been instrumental in the development of bands like The Devil Makes Three, Ledisi and LeRoy Bell.

Jeff Doyle, who comes to us with many years of managerial, administration and budgeting experience, is the agency’s Business Manager.
