LUCÍA is a 22-year-old singer from Veracruz. She began her artistic work at the age of 2 singing and dancing in her parents' group, Son de Madera. At the age of 13, she began to study singing formally at the Universidad Veracruzana, the same institution from which she obtained her degree in singing and jazz studies in 2022.

In 2019 and 2020 she was admitted to A Cappella Academy, a vocal music academy located in Los Angeles, California, directed by Avi Kaplan, ex-member of the group PENTATONIX.

She has collaborated with artists and musical groups such as Natalia Lafourcade, Aloe Blacc, Quetzal, Son de Madera, Alex Mercado, and the National Jazz Orchestra of Mexico, among others.

Lucía has sung on many different stages and at festivals such as Carnegie Hall, ASU Gammage, El Cantoral, El Teatro Esperanza Íris, Folk Festival, International Cervantino Festival, and CENART, among others.

In 2020 she was a finalist in the solo category and first place winner in the ensemble category of the Young Jazz Award, along with the vocal group NAWI. And in 2022, she was the first place winner at the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition.

She is currently finishing her first studio album with original music, as she collaborates with the National Jazz Orchestra of Mexico and works as backup singer and vocal director for Natalia Lafourcade.
